A NEW ELEGANCE...

The New Edit is becoming more of an online presence than standard magazine - which was the original goal of this celebration of everything fabulous. Now being on Facebook and Instagram, we can use this blog in the same vein to celebrate elegant fashion photography, as well as our own 'New Edit' style on what is hitting the catwalk every season.

This blog will feature a more photographic style, with posts dedicated to various supermodels, designers, era's, movie stars and photographers who are icons of fashion and have helped give a face to our culture. A lot of the lost era's of elegance, from the 1920's to the 1960's, are something we at The New Edit are drawn to more than others. We believe this was an era where people's attitudes and style marked their lives to the point where the nostalgia becomes something heartwarming, breathtaking and above all fabulous.

Another era we adore is the late 80's and through to the end of the 90's where the supermodels ruled the world, and fashion truly became a global cultural ID for each country. The explosion of reinvention, designers recreating ideas that made you think, and the faces of models such as Christy Turlington, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Linda Evangelista and Cindy Crawford, were an everyday staple of people's lives. We love this era, and having grown up mainly through the 90's, the Editor-in-Chief, Daniel Sherriff - believes this to be an era we could learn from and celebrate the sophistication of these women and the photographers who gave us their image.

This blog will tie together with our Instagram page which you can follow on the right hand side of this blog, and our facebook which you can go Like and help us celebrate style, elegance and glamour in all it's multilateral and universal appeal.
